Anyone
who visits the Southern Utah region is immediately taken
with the peculiarly beautiful landscape of the area. With
grand vistas and red rocks, tree-lined mountains, rock
formations and breathtaking sunsets, the area around Cedar
City is no exception to this rare beauty. Cedar City is a
great place to make one's base for day trips to
Zion National Park,
Cedar Breaks National Monument,
Bryce Canyon and
The Grand Canyon.
Other popular places to visit which are easily accessible
from Cedar City are
Lake Powell, the
Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and
Kolob Canyon (on the northwest side of Zion National
Park). The area also boasts numerous lakes, reservoirs and
hiking areas for outdoor enthusiasts who want to partake in
fishing, and other outdoor recreational sports. |
