Phase II of Port 15 Utah became officially accessible when Union Pacific installed the new at-grade crossing opening up 550 acres for rail-served business. The crossing gives Port 15 Utah access to the largest part of Port 15 Utah and allows immediate installation of the infrastructure to this portion of the park.
“We are on schedule and excited about the new opportunities for businesses,” stated Thomas A. Pugh, Executive Director and Manager of Port 15 Utah. “We are pleased to see that the phases seem to be falling in order right on schedule. The demand for the property has been exceptional and we are fortunate to have worked with Union Pacific on this crossing.”
Port 15 Utah has already sold all rail accessible property on the South portion of the park. Companies like Charlotte Pipe, Cerro Copper and Sunroc have already taken advantage of Union Pacific Service to their facilities. Phase 2 of the Port 15 project includes, installation of roads and track through more than 550 acres. Several companies are currently looking at these sites and new roads are being cut into the property as we speak.
